Bor Land / Independent record label located in Porto, dedicated to releasing the most celebrated and creative music made in Portugal. Having achieved recognition for its carefully thought-out and executed productions, Bor Land was one of the most important and successful Portuguese labels.

We love music - to the point of the absurd, as the beautiful Rune Grammofon would say. But we decided not to release any new records and closed down, hosting an exhibition called "What Can It Be: Bor Land 2000-2010" on October 05th 2010, exactly ten years after our first release - a compilation "Looking For Something". Founded by Rodrigo Cardoso e Inês Lamares.

The work of a project like Bor Land is of unquestionable value for the Portuguese music scene, because it embodies the most coherent editorial universe and guarantees the release of some of the most consensual and celebrated names of the national vanguard. One could identify an erudition in the aesthetic paths followed by the label's artists - a superior way of dealing with what is referred to as popular music, bringing it to find charismatic spaces, places of unique character, in which the signature of the work shines in its most exotic, original and intelligently exquisite aspects. Facing the unknown, the public eyes it suspiciously, instead of marvelling at it, like some fantastic tales or dreamy moving films would have us believe.
